This article aims to understand the nature of the consumption of embarrassment, delimiting it within the rituals of contemporary symbolic exchanges. The research will explore how these rituals reconfigure the processes of content distribution and consumption, while generating reflections on the power of the image and the value of labor in the digital age. To exemplify these characteristics, the research will focus on the analysis of the live peculiarities of NPCs on TikTok, employing a methodology based on Content Analysis to offer categorical insights into this emerging characteristic that has strained aesthetic and economic relations, and tested the limits of human praxis and the centrality of the body in the digital world.
